Record & Learn LLC builds privacy-first software. We aim to keep data collection narrow, make trust boundaries easier to understand, and avoid collecting information that is not needed to operate the product or respond to an inquiry.

• We avoid unnecessary tracking and broad data collection
• We keep public marketing pages focused on verifiable proof instead of invasive analytics claims
• We separate company-level website handling from app-specific policies when an app has materially different behavior

• All content, websites, marketing materials, and deliverables created by Record & Learn LLC using client-provided business information remain the intellectual property of Record & Learn LLC — client-provided source materials (such as original photos and logos owned by the client) remain the client's property

Record & Learn LLC iOS apps are designed with a privacy-first approach. Here is how data is handled within our apps:

• Apps use on-device processing for core functionality — Whisper for audio transcription and on-device AI models for generating flashcards, quizzes, and study materials
• iCloud and CloudKit sync uses the user's own private iCloud database — Record & Learn LLC cannot access, read, or retrieve this data
• Firebase Analytics may be used to collect anonymized, aggregate usage patterns (such as which features are used most frequently); this does not include personal content and can be managed through device settings
• No user recordings, transcriptions, notes, flashcards, or personal content is transmitted to Record & Learn LLC servers

Record & Learn LLC apps may request the following device permissions:

• Camera: Used by Record & Learn (document scanning) and Backcountry Brain (species identification via live camera). Photos are processed on-device and never uploaded to our servers.
• Microphone: Used by Record & Learn (lecture recording, voice practice) and MyfriendHana (voice commands). Audio is processed on-device.
• Speech Recognition: Used for on-device transcription. Audio data is not sent to external servers.
• Location: Used by Backcountry Brain for offline map positioning. Location data stays on-device.
• Notifications: Used by MyfriendHana and other apps for reminders. Notification preferences are stored locally.

Record & Learn LLC apps integrate with the following third-party services:

No other third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs are used.

The Record & Learn LLC marketing website may use cookies or similar technologies. Here is how tracking is handled:

• The website may use cookies for basic functionality such as language preferences and theme settings
• Firebase SDK may collect anonymized analytics data to help understand site usage patterns
• No personal profiling or behavioral advertising cookies are used on the marketing website
• Users can control cookies through their browser settings; disabling cookies may affect some site functionality

• All app data stored on-device can be deleted by uninstalling the app

• We do not retain personal data beyond what is needed to respond to inquiries
